The plates come out of the cupboard and, for a second, I’m somewhere else entirely. I can feel the sea breeze on my face. I can smell the salt in the air. I can hear the gentle wash of the tide over the sand.
Then I lay the table and smile.

Perhaps it’s a favourite beach remembered from childhood. A morning surf before work. A weekend spent exploring hidden coves. Or simply that feeling of calm that only seems to arrive when you’re standing by the water.
That’s the feeling we wanted to capture when we created our Fine Bone China Wave Plate.

Made Properly, Made to Last
Our wave plates are made in small batches in Stoke-on-Trent, England — the historic home of British pottery. Each design is screen printed onto fine bone china before being hand finished by skilled craftspeople and fired at high temperature to create a beautiful lasting finish.
Because they are made in small batches, every plate carries its own subtle character. These are not mass-produced pieces designed to be replaced in a few years. They are designed to be used, enjoyed and shared — the sort of plates that become part of family breakfasts, long lunches and gatherings around the table.
